What will be featured in this show

Art will be available for purchase, with 40% of proceeds supporting the Lookout Arts Quarry—an arts center, regenerative land project, and festival grounds in Alger, WA.

About PLASTIC ANGST

This art show is a culmination of Adrien Converse’s one-month artist residency project at the Lookout Arts Quarry, which began on May 3, 2026.

Adrien (that’s me) has created 56 art pieces on site using one of their favorite mediums—acrylic paint—which so happens to be plastics-based. These paintings explore Adrien’s grief over humanity’s relationship with plastics, as well as their hope for our ability to rise to the occasion and create something worthwhile out of it.

Adrien has invited local creators and organizers to showcase their work to build a community ecosystem that allows us to empower each other and create solutions to the challenges we are facing together.

Come experience this one-night show and get connected to other community members who are using their creativity to build thriving community ecosystems.
